College Students Get $4k Tax Break

The amount of deduction each student gets to claim depends heavily on their income or if they are a dependant, the income of their families.  Households with an adjusted gross income above $130,000 per year or individuals with is an adjusted income above $65,000 per year will not eligible for the full tax break.  Additionally students who happen to be home owners may be able to deduct their mortgage and/or interest payments as well.

Not sure how many students own their own homes... but I'd though I'd mention it as well.

Apple's iCloud

Steve Jobs introduces Apple's newest product iCloud which will be competing with Google Docs, Microsoft's Web Apps and other Cloud services.  Apple wants the iCloud to be the center of their users lives thereby reducing the importance of our Macs, MacBooks, iPhone, iPads and PC's.

Microsoft's New Web Apps

Microsoft is fighting back now against Google's ChromeBooks and Google Docs Online with its Microsoft Web Apps (see video).  As more people, businesses and organizations are getting access to high speed internet and unlimited data plans more and more companies like Microsoft and Google are offering Cloud based application and services.

President Obama talks about changing education by modeling what works like in the case of Booker T. Washington.  Educators at this school have made changes that increased graduation rates and now has more students enrolled in college.

Santa Clara High School Scholarship

This year I was part of a group of individuals and businesses who had decided to give back to the high school that gave us so much; Santa Clara High School in Santa Clara California.  A few weeks ago we had our first fund raiser- the First Annual Santa Clara Golf Tournament.  We had over
