Wordle is a toy for generating “word clouds” from text that you provide. The clouds give greater prominence to words that appear more frequently in the source text. You can tweak your clouds with different fonts, layouts, and color schemes. The images you create with Wordle are yours to use however you like. You can print them out, or save them to the Wordle gallery to share with your friends.

Magically Practical

I'm currently in an online chat with my CSU Fresno CI 227 class "Current Issues and Trends in Educational Technology".  We are using Blackboard and the chat feature to discuss a few topics in real time online.  It's quite interesting in good, bad, funny and annoying ways.

That's technology for you.  I like to remember that using Twitter, chats room, educational technologies in general must be very similar to the experiences that the first automobile drivers had, phone users and cowboys learning to hide the wild stallions. A LOT of pain for a little fun.

The world is changing at a rapid pace and educators and everyone else had better keep abreast of the trends.  This week a world wide leader in the computer industry, IBM, has told its 360.000 workers that they will have to stop using one of the world's most used software application suits; MIcrosoft Office.
